Management
Unlike the master’s degrees in computer science and mathematics awarded by CentraleSupélec, the master’s degree of “ingénieur-manageur” is awarded by the IAE business school in Metz, as a member of the national network of IAE schools.
Only the “ingénieur manageur” track is accessible to CentraleSupélec students.
All details about this track (important dates, tuition fees, enrolment procedure, etc) are described in this document.
Warning: this track “ingénieur manageur” is specifically designed to be taken alongside a third year at engineering school. As a result, classes are held outside of the academic year, at the end of August and in June. Registration must therefore be done earlier, from April to very beginning of July.
More precisely, if you attend the master on scholar year Y-(Y+1), then:
- You must register to the master before early July Y.
- The last week of August Y (before the start of CentraleSupelec third year), the mandatory seminars are given.
- During January Y+1, evening lectures are given.
- During the last week of June Y+1, you must attend the final week (check with your internship supervisor that it is feasible at the very first contacts with the Institution/Company).
Warning 2: if you attend this master, you must attend the “Filière intrapreunariat”.
It is important to understand that your scores for the master’s courses determine not only your success in obtaining the master’s degree, but also your success in obtaining the CS engineering degree. Therefore, very low scores in your master’s courses can endanger your engineering degree. Enrolling in a master’s program is therefore a serious commitment. This is why it is important to read the following before making any decision, in order to fully understand how scores are exchanged between the two training programs.
On the master’s side
Some of the master’s courses are taught at IAE, while others are courses taught at the CS that also count toward the master’s degree.
IAE courses
The list of courses to follow is given in this document.
SDI courses integrated into the master’s program
Only courses from filiere “Intraprenariat” are integrated into the master, in addition to the internship.
On the engineering diploma’s side
Similarly, if you enroll in the master’s program, you are not required to take all SDI courses: some are replaced by IAE courses that you take for the master’s program. In practice the score of every cancelled SDI course is replaced by the score average of the IAE courses you attend.
Here is the list of CentraleSupélec courses from which enrolled students are exempted and whose grades are replaced by the average grades obtained in the master's program:Short name | Course title | ECTS | Volume (h) |
---|---|---|---|
PAIA | Perspectives in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence | 2 | 36 |
GPU | GPU programming | 2 | 20 |
Sparse | Sparse Models | 2 | 18.5 |
CPP | Advanced Programming in C++ | 2 | 20 |
